How to Get Your Message in Front of Community Owners

Have something new or important to show or tell the owners/operators of 50,000 land - lease communities (nee manufactured home communities) across the U.S.and Canada? Well, here's how to do it….

 

         

Every month of the year, individuals and company representatives ask how to best communicate their unique message to folk who own and manage our unique income - producing property type. Sort of messages? Some have land - lease communities to sell or are 'on the hunt' to acquire more. Others have products and services to market, e.g. water submetering and RBC (read, bill & collection) systems, property coverage and homeowner insurance sales programs. Still others want to lend money to finance new and resale home or land - lease community transactions.

         

So, how many effective ways are there to get said messages out to decision - makers involved in manufactured housing and land - lease community development, investment and management? More than a half dozen!

                  

PRESS RELEASES & ADVERTISING

     

New to the manufactured housing business? Have a new product or service to offer? Announce your debut with well - written press releases (an art in itself) distributed to as many appropriate trade publications and state, provincial and national trade associations as possible! Appropriate? Targeting land - lease community folk? Then the Manufactured Home Merchandiser, Journal, and Modern Home magazines, and Allen Letter are your best bets. Not much point in directing real estate investment news to Automated Builder unless you're distributing new factory - built housing - related OEM (original equipment manufacturer) product. Then you'd want to contact the folk at Building System News too. If you decide one or another - or all the publications, are worthy of press releases, contact them and request advertising rate sheets as well. Then, compare distribution/circulation (there is a difference) and 'ad $ cost/thousand subscribers', by referring to the annual CPM Report available free @ (877)MFD-HSNG or 633-4764.

         

Also send press releases to national (they're two in the U.S.,  three in Canada∗) and state or provincial 'manufactured housing' trade associations. The caution here is to ascertain whether the state/province associations in question are manufacturer/retailer and/or land - lease community oriented.
